This pattern started as a wild, bold design inspired by the New Zealand Christmas tree—the pōhutukawa. I loved the chaos of that original red-and-green version, but let’s be honest: not everyone did. It quietly became my worst-performing Etsy listing. So… here we are with the Chevron Quilt Reboot.

This version keeps the same block structure but transforms it with a clean, modern aesthetic. Using three fabrics—light green, dark green, and white—the reboot creates bold geometric lines and a sense of calm order. It’s beginner-friendly, quick to sew, and a great way to explore how fabric placement alone can dramatically change a design.

But if you're still Team Chaos like I am, the original vibrant version is included as a surprise bonus in the pattern. Think of this as a 1.5-in-1 quilt pattern: same block, two very different moods.
